Stellar neutron spectra at 28 keV thermal temperature

چکیده

To calculate the reaction rate in neutron capture processes it is common to work with Maxwellian Average Cross Section (MACS), defined as scaled by most probable velocity of Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution. For MACS determination lower uncertainties, need a spectrum similar possible stellar one motivates this work. At CN Van der Graaff accelerator LNLINFN laboratories, an experimental measurement performed produce 28 keV thermal temperature. The time-of-flight spectrometry implemented determine 0°-90° integrated spectrum, employing 7 Li(p,n) Be source, initial proton energy 3.17 MeV and 51 µm thickness aluminum foil, shaper.

Neutron matter at finite temperature

The nuclear equation of state plays a central role in the physics of neutron stars and core-collapse supernovae. Renormalization group methods coupled with effective field theory offer a systematic approach to nuclear matter: For low-momentum interactions Vlow k with cutoffs around 2 fm−1, the strong short-range repulsion in conventional nucleon-nucleon (NN) interactions and the tensor force ar...

Model atmospheres and thermal spectra of magnetized neutron stars

Thermal surface radiation has been detected with X-ray instruments for several neutron stars with high spectral, spatial and timing resolution. These observations allow for direct study of fundamental properties of the source, but require model atmospheres and spectra for careful interpretation. We describe a robust and extensible implementation of complete linearization for computing the spect...

Temperature spectra in shear flow and thermal convection

We show that the Pu(ω) ∝ ω −7/3 shear velocity power spectrum gives rise to a PΘ(ω) ∝ ω −4/3 power spectrum for a passively advected scalar, as measured in experiment [K. Sreenivasan, Proc. R. Soc. London A 434, 165 (1991)]. Applying our argument to high Rayleigh number Rayleigh Benard flow, we can account for the measured scaling exponents equally well as the Bolgiano Obukhov theory (BO59). Ye...

Spectra of Quarkonia at Finite Temperature

Finite-temperature spectra of heavy quarkonia are calculated by combining potential model and thermofield dynamics formalisms. The mass spectra of the heavy quarkonia with various quark contents are calculated. It is found that binding mass of the quarkonium decreases as temperature increases.a Quarkonia; finite-temperature spectra; thernofield dynamics.
